Family Mourns Passing of Special Aunt



Our Sympathy goes out to the children and grandchildren of Aunt Marianne Papula who recently passed away.Marianne M. Papula, 81, of North Huntingdon, died Saturday, May 3, 2008, in UPMC Mercy, Uptown. She was born July 18, 1926, in Rankin, a daughter of the late John and Marie Kuchta Micklos. Marianne was a member of St. Agnes Church, North Huntingdon; a graduate of Rankin High School; and was the first female dispatcher hired by North Huntingdon Township in 1967. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Albert P. Papula, in 1973; two brothers, Victor and Walter Micklos; and a sister, Catherine Micklos. She is survived by three children, Albert and his wife, Elizabeth, of North Huntingdon, Marianne R. Papula, of North Huntingdon, and Gene and his wife, Christa, of Boston, Mass.; two brothers, John Micklos, of North Huntingdon, and Lawrence Micklos, of Forest Hills; a sister, Mildred Sullivan, of Swissvale; and six grandchildren, Andrew, Keith, Taylor, Jordan, Tyler and Elena. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the JAMES W. SHIRLEY FUNERAL HOME INC., Clay Pike, North Huntingdon. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Agnes Church. Interment in Monongahela Cemetery. http://www.shirleyfuneralhome.com/.
